What’s a B Corp?
B Corp is a global movement of purpose-over-profit businesses actively working towards a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.
To get B Corp certified we’ve demonstrated high social and environmental values; made a legal commitment in our governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders (not just shareholders); and exhibited transparency by making our business and performance open for accreditation by B Corp, in an ongoing and rigorous way.
That’s something we take really seriously – the ongoing part.
Getting B Corp certified is not about achieving a stamp of approval and being done with it. It’s about continuously holding ourselves up to a high standard and then working to better it.
Why we’re proud to be one
When Cam started Rock Agency in 2014, his first goal, even before producing awesome work, was to create an awesome workplace –one of passionate collaboration, where people and a great team environment was first priority.
So, right from the start, people came first in Rock’s vision for the future. But, as we’ve established ourselves, our office space, and our workplace culture a deeper consideration for sustainability and the environment has also come into play.
B Corp, for us, is an affirmation that we’re acting thoughtfully and respectfully at every level of business – it’s being kind to each other, reducing our impact on the planet, and undertaking work that reflects progressive values. It places us in beautiful company with like-minds and purpose-driven businesses on a journey to do the same; and in hope that one day this ‘way’ becomes the norm.
