Women in Recreational Fishing & Boating
Lots of imagery, limited text and a simple navigational structure helps create a fun, casual, and inviting site for the WIRFAB community.
WIRFAB (Women in Recreational Fishing and Boating) inspires and encourages female participation in fishing and boating. Previously represented by a page on the Victorian Fishing Authority website, it was time WIRFAB had a site of their own. WIRFAB loved the visually appealing and streamlined site we had created for their counterpart organisation, Better Boating Victoria. They knew they wanted similar in terms of user simplicity and ease of navigation, but tonally they had an idea for something a little more fun. We’ve used lots of imagery that emphasises people and the community to deliver that brief. The site’s inviting and casual with fun button interactions and limited text to keep things light. As requested, the site structure is simple, avoiding any secondary menu or drop-down options, and it was all delivered within a tight timeline of seven weeks.
